This project is the culmination of a semester-long study into how digital storytelling can be used for social good. Each group has chosen to tell the story of an object, a place, a person, a movement, or an event using the analytical tools provided during this course. As they used the critiques and approaches as tools, each group developed their own positions and approaches to tell the story using digital tools in an effort to broaden the impact of their project. Students were encouraged to conduct interviews to obtain first-hand information about the topic, and supplement those with statistics, photographs, maps, and scholarly materials. In preparation for the final project students mapped issues through social media in an effort to determine which media outlets generated the most engagement. Check out our course Tagboard here.
